I realize that I've been coming down here for several years, but this photo is from my very first trip before I'd even bought my house. I don't think I would go on this particular adventure again, but I still love the quiet and the sunshine and the serenity of my little spot in paradise. The august rainy season is tricky; we can have days of rain or days of sparkling sunshine like today and yesterday. Few people are in this little development, and the friends I have made are either sick or engaged, but but the beach is still grand and this morning I saw FOUR other runners out on the highway at 6:00AM!!!
Last night I was awakened at 3:00 am by what felt like someone violently shaking my bed, but after I turned on the lights, I realized that it must have just been an earthquake, a fact my neighbor confirmed for me this morning. There is something rather ridiculous in finding consolation in just an earthquake....
